Appointment Policy
Our main goal is to create beautiful, healthy smiles. In order to accomplish this goal, Dr. Shemirani and his team need patient cooperation. We are committed to seeing each patient at his or her appointed time, in order to complete your treatment by the estimated completion date. To accomplish these objectives, it is crucial that you understand the manner in which we schedule appointments.
In our schedule, we have reserved after school/work times for shorter appointments such as simple appliance checks and regular monthly adjustments. In doing this we may accommodate more families during this precious time. Longer appointments and repair appointments will be scheduled during the hours of 8:00-11:00 AM. With your appointment frequency varying between 4-8 weeks, this arrangement usually results in patients having to visit our office only 2-3 times per year during school hours. If possible, we are happy to accommodate you in working around certain classes, lunch, sports, meetings, etc.
In case of emergency, please call first so that we may offer you a specific appointment time. If you drop by without an appointment, we may be out of the office, at lunch, or in a staff meeting and unable to handle your problem. An emergency consists of anything poking, scratching, or cutting your cheeks or gums that you cannot take care of with wax. If you show up to your appointment with loose brackets, or broken appliances, we may not be able to accommodate you and you will be asked to reschedule during a morning repair time. In order to avoid additional trips to our office, please contact us if you have a broken or loose bracket/appliance.
This schedule has been created in an effort to be fair to everyone and maintain consistency in our scheduling. We appreciate your help in working with our scheduling coordinators.
